The Sector Map
The current iteration of my setting in sector map form. In prior months I was making node graphs with Obsidian, but I wanted something more directly visual that can be used for posters. It isn’t meant to have a clear scale to it, instead what is important is the affiliations of points of interest to the civ clusters and their general relation to the inner/outer regions of the clusters. There was some behind the scenes connections for major factions, but these are not visible on this version of the map for the sake of avoiding an overly garish map.
One of the big sea changes for the Sprawlverse in the past month has been the expanded role of “Murkpace”, which is meant to be a civilization that is at first impression a fairly neutral actor and even a friendly alien civilization compared to the likes of the Prospect Spacers or the Phidians but there’s hidden agendas going on the recesses of the distant region of the galaxy they’re from.
Fun little plot hooks that are more usable than the Architects whose tech level was way too high to work sustainably with. Prospect Spacers as a side effect become the most hegemonic non-Sprawl civilization, better reflecting the amount of lore I have given Prospect Space because if you aren’t at all familiar with the Sprawlverse as a setting you should know that Prospect Spacers are a massive lore sponge. I’d wager those aliens have more lore than the humans do!
That being said when I get the poster made i’ll post a picture of it.
